Level 1 Screening. (Multi-Wipe Field Composite technique)
Up to 10 individual samples are taken from rooms (including hallways) throughout the property. These samples are then composited and sent to Hills Laboratory where part of each sample is combined in Hills state of the art ISO accredited laboratory to test for any methamphetamine contamination, including precursors. This test delivers a composite result.
If there is a positive result then, following instructions from you, we will go to the next level of test.

Level 2 Testing. (Individual Sample Technique)
If it known, either from Police advice or information received, that there is Methamphetamine contamination in the property then you may decide to go directly to the Level 2 Testing Phase. Samples are taken from every room as well as every 10m2, or part thereof, throughout the property. For example, if a bedroom was 12m2, then we would need to take two samples from that room. This test is used when there is a strong belief that the property is contaminated and is usually used as a follow up to our Level 1 Screening. The report produced from this Level 2 Testing is then used by the specialist remediators that you select to decontaminate the property.

About Hill Laboratories
Hill Laboratories have the capability to test for traces of Methamphetamine and precursors used in the manufacture of methamphetamine, from suspected contaminated dwellings (houses/apartment/offices). The test is carried out on wipe samples according to NIOSH method 9111, and is IANZ accredited.
This includes testing for three precursor drugs (Ephedrine, Pseudoephedrine and Amphetamine. Swab samples from the dwelling are taken and sent to the laboratory where they are extracted and analysed using LCMSMS (Liquid Chromatography with Tandem Mass Spectrometry Detection).
